Hello People.
I finally found a moment to update. the above title is a lyric from SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE, the finale song, SUNDAY. Its pretty fitting for the day.
Once again, it is beautiful in Center Valley, but sadly I am stuck inside, typing my History of Theatre paper…
I really just want this to be done, so I can just forget about it. This blog probably isn’t helping, but i was having writer’s block, so i needed a break.
So my weekend has been pretty okay. Friday, i spent the evening recounting memories and talking about childhood my besties here on campus. Saturday, we went browsing at the Promenade shops (an outdoor mall) and i didn’t buy anything (besides a milkshake)! like wow! then we watched ENCHANTED. “Its good” so says Pip. Karen and I love talking animals. they just make us so happy, no reason, they just do. oh, ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS comes out this Tuesday!
——————————
Although I did promise a few new pages, I’m going to hold off on them just for a bit longer, simply because i don’t want half-assed pages. so stay tuned for those. But do check out the YouTube Obsessions page for something new!

Well, for now i think I’ll keep this post short. check back for a possible update tonight.

Hello People.
As the title says, it is a gloomy, gloppy day here @ DSU. It is filled with rain, tiredness, laziness, and crazy overwhelmedness. I’ll break that down a bit:
- It’s raining.
- I woke up very tired and totally skipped my tap class. Even though I’m auditing the course, I still like to treat it as if I’m actually taking it for credit, but today I just wasn’t motivated enough.
- Lazy…see last statement.
- I am mad overwhelmed by my test tomorrow in political thought. I have studied for it, but the information is just so scattered, or maybe I just straight up don’t know the material because I slacked this half of the semester. (Big Sigh) Oh, and lets not forget my 10 page paper due April 18. Three pages by this coming Sunday. (Big sigh x 2)
Okay moving on, FIRDAY tomorrow = amazing. I totally need this weekend to save me. It is going to be a work filled weekend with very little time to do much of anything else.
Finally, I can talk about what I want from this summer.
Hopefully, I’ll get the teaching job I want @ DSU. I would be a music director for a junior theatre camp. It runs sometime in July. I’d also like to go back to Main Stage @ Summer Stage, but as of now, I am unsure. Oh, and I‘d like to possibly get some vacation time. A trip to Baltimore? A week on the shore? A few days in New York? All possibilities.
Okay, my main goals this summer: Get and iPhone and a MacBook. I am officially switching to the “white” side. I constantly see everyone with their Mac toys, looking happy, and I’m stuck with my pc laptop, hating life and wanting to throw it into the closest body of water. Mac all the way this summer for sure!
Alright, I’m off to dinner again. Check sometime soon for a new page dedicated to Fashion and theatre(separately). Oh and check for some new material over in the YouTube page.
G’bye,
Peter

Hello People.
Its a pretty wonderful day here @ DSU. I’m currently at work study, alone. Yeah, its kind of quiet around here … eh, its still a great day. So I really have no big message about life today, except: Don’t Procrastinate, its bad for you. This is in reference to a daunting ten page paper for theatre history that I have yet to touch, besides research. Three pages by this coming Sunday….
Okay, as promised, I’m going to delve into my current musical obsessions.
1) Leona Lewis – This girl is amazing! Probably the next Whitneyand Celine all in one, plus a touch of breathiness from Mariah with the occasional whistle tone. Last Week on Oprah, she was a guest of Simon Cowell. She came out and performed and Simon pretty much said she was the best talent he has ever worked with. She was the winner of the British version of American Idol (X Factor). She is absolutely my new favorite artist (for like the next two weeks or so, and probably well into the summer). Her Single, Bleeding Love is climbing the charts and her new album is released on April 8th. Buy it!

And it’s draining all of me
Oh they find it hard to believe
I’ll be wearing these scars
For everyone to seeI don’t care what they say
I’m in love with you
They try to pull me away
But they don’t know the truth
My heart’s crippled by the vein
That I keep on closing
You cut me open and I….Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding
I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
You cut me open and I….

2) Gypsy – This is a musical, which originally starred Ethel Merman (as Mama Rose). I always had an appreciation for it, but recently, I have totally been preoccupied by the song “Rose’s Turn.” It is such an amazing piece of music.for all you crazy belty mezzos out there, don’t touch this song until you have wrinkles around your eyes, life experience of a 70 year old, and gravity is beginning to get the best of you. This is just one of those songs that really can consume the performer in a bad way or in a very Good Way.

a) Ethel Merman is wonderful on the song. I personally don’t love her in the whole show, but this song really gives one the perfect vision of her.
b) Angela Lansbury is not just some old teapot, she totally has sass on this song, and its great to hear her approach in a different way than most.
c) Bernadette Peters signature crazy, strange, whiny, vibrato … actually works for this song and the part in general. I have the revival recording, and its flawless. (watch this: http://youtube.com/watch?v=VOd-ivbiYXE, believe it or not, she’s sick! and still fabulous!)
d) Patti LuPone is totally crazy on this song. She brings a totally different quality to the acting of the part and it totally screams “Standing ovation.” I’m going to try to see her this summer in the show.

Alright, this is all I have time for today. Once again it is dinner time, and I’m starving. Good day today. Hump Day pretty much over. I hope all or you’s day went well ( btw, I hate the word “you’s.” It is so weird to say and to look at, gah). Look forward to a Thursday Blog about what I want from this coming summer (technology, clothes, jobs, vacation, etc).
Cheerio Chums,
Peter
I have once again entered into the Blogging Network. I recently read my friend’s Blog (Lisa S.) and realized i actually enjoyed writing on a blog way back when (Livejournal? Xanga?), so why not pick it up again.
This is going to be one of the most general — borderline Random Blogs … ever. I won’t spell it out for you, so just read on and get the essence of what I’m trying to do.

Happy Spring!!!
I’m a bit late on that greeting, but whatever. Its so gorgeous outside right now. Thank the lord that mother nature finally made up her mind about the freakin’ weather. for a while there, she must’ve been going through menopause or something to that effect (i figure menopause simply because she’s pretty damn old). but nonetheless, it is beautiful, and as of late, I’ve had a surge of pep in all i do. I ‘ve been getting ambitious with some activities and projects … if only that could transfer over to my school work. oh yes, and school is kind of a drag. I’ve got to get through six weeks with no break. I know it sounds lazy of me, but… okay so I’m lazy, back up. I just need to pick up the slack, and get to work, simple as that.

In the dramatics,
The seniors opened their children’s show and … well I’m sure its great, but i’ll have a better judgement after Saturday. The preview was a little loaded with shenanigans that was un-theatrical in the sense of good theatre etiquette.
Millie rehearsals are going well.I don’t quite feel a part of the cast just yet, simply because my rehearsals are so far removed and isolated from the rest of the cast. I’m sure that will pick up sooner or later. The whole acting in Chinese is tough but I’m getting through it much better than i thought originally. It comes down to acting out the intentions while kind of saying something else, so the scene still plays… and so on and so forth.
Alright, its dinner time and I’m famished from my long day. I will Blog tomorrow during work study. Stay Tuned for current musical obsessions and wants for the summer.
Out like Elton,
Peter
